Survey Reveals Brown Is “Damaging The Country”
GORDON Brown’s decision to cling on to power at all costs will continue to damage the UK, the Prospective Independent MP for Wirral West said today.
David Kirwan spoke out in the wake of a YouGov poll for the Sunday Times which revealed that 51 per cent of people believed the Prime Minister’s continued grip on power was damaging the country.
The poll went on to offer little positive news for the Conservatives with only 29 per cent of those questioned saying that David Cameron had the right team to tackle Britain’s problems.
Furthermore, 73 per cent of people quizzed believe there should either be an immediate General Election or one by the autumn at the latest.
David Kirwan said: “The Prime Minister and the Tory leader are desperately hoping that the voters will forget the shameful revelations of recent weeks the longer we have to wait for a General Election.
“But these survey findings tell a different story and I expect further polls over the coming weeks and months to reveal a similar picture. The majority of people in this country have had enough of the traditional party system and MPs who milk the system.
