David Kirwan – the candidate you can trust

As many of you will know, I have taken the decision to stand as your Prospective Independent MP for Wirral West.

During recent months, I have spent time canvassing the views of people living and working in this constituency.

The overwhelming message from you is that you are sick and tired of our rotten mainstream political parties.

For me, like many others, the MPs’ Expenses Scandal was the final straw.

Living and working in this constituency, I understand your anger and frustration better than the other parties’ candidates.

I also know what issues really matter to you and which as your Independent MP for Wirral West I would champion on your behalf.

This is your chance to reject the politics of the past. I do hope you will support me.

  2. Dear Mr Kirwan

For several years since leaving the Derby City Tory Group, I have fought elections and various local campaigns as an Independent for a variety of causes with mixed success and succeeded in change the balance of power on the local council on three separate occassions since 2002.

I have noticed of late that a movement appears to be gathering momentum, to form an Independent bloc at Westminster. It is definitely a disadvantage to fight alone as an Independent for the major parties set out to disdvantage Minority Independents paricularly in Derby, by banning posters on Lamp posts and diminishing their prospects in a variety of other ways.

I feel it maybe possibly to form some kind of loose alliance of Independent candidates with with the intention of campaigning along the lines you are pursuing, in order to exchange experiences so as not to appear as lone voices blowing in the wind.

Several notable personalities have expressed this sentiment on national news channels of late but a rallying point is needed for exchange of views and a mutual assist effort.

I have the deposit set asside from contributions by local supporters and intend to fight the Derby South Constituency where local MPs have been billing us for Hanging Baskets and Flat Screen TVs

I’d be pleased to hear what you think of my suggestion and if you have any interest in taking it further.
    Yours truly,
    David Black.
