Love It Or Loathe It – The Sun Is Right

THE Sun’s declaration that Labour has lost its support is the final nail in the party’s chances at the General Election, David Kirwan claimed last night.

The Prospective Independent MP for Wirral West said that the question now was whether the party would avoid “imploding” before the election is called.

David said: “The Sun’s decision to call time on Labour is no great surprise – this Government has been a busted flush for many months.

“More interesting will be to see if the Government and the wider Labour Party can avoid imploding during the run up to the election. MPs will now only have one thing on their mind – survival.

“Anyone who saw Energy Secretary Ed Milliband’s uncomfortable grilling on BBC’s Newsnight this week together with Jack Straw’s ashen faced interview on Sky News after the Sun story broke will have watched a Government entering its death throes.”

David added: “Yet just as interesting is the complete lack of a ringing endorsement for David Cameron’s Conservative Party. There is a widespread sense that voters desperately want credible alternatives at the ballot box.

“They do not want fringe parties but are keen to support genuine Independent candidates who have a proven track record either in business , public duty or both.

“As a  successful local businessman and local Independent councillor, I believe I can offer both of these attributes to the voters of Wirral West.”
