Leading Wirral Law Firm Launches Bid To Save Wirral Show
A leading Wirral law firm has launched a campaign to save the Wirral Show from the axe.
Kirwans Solicitors, which employs almost 100 people across three offices in Wirral and Liverpool, says it is willing to spearhead the organisation of the show.
David Kirwan, the firm’s Senior Partner and also Prospective Independent MP for Wirral West, is now calling for other like-minded businesses and organisations to join forces to ensure the 30-year-old event does not come to an end.
Mr Kirwan, an Independent Councillor on Wirral Council, said: “I am appalled that Wirral Council is willing to let an event with such a successful heritage come an end.
“Hundreds of thousands of people have visited the show over the years, often from many miles away, and it has become an integral part of the borough’s calendar of events.
“I am willing to commit the time, experience, enthusiasm and organisational muscle of my firm to help ensure the show not only continues but goes from strength to strength.
“I have no doubt that if we are joined by a small number of other like-minded businesses and organisations we can quickly turn this dire situation around and give the Wirral Show a fantastic new lease of life.”
